Match is over!
WE got the cup! jump INDIA jump! with pride and smile as wide as it can be.
Well, while everyone is talking blogging stutus-ing, (although the last thing is not making much sense) here are the two most remarkable moments (according to me) I saw yesterday.
Yuvi took my heart away... I saw and we saw and could sense the cold war, the non acceptance of the two of them but the winning moment, the magic moment washed away all the dark emotions and grey agony that persisted between them, even though just for a moment and just because one tried, but I saw them as THEM. He hugged and he cried and he took my heart away.
And there was another captain... the man with the smile who had nothing but words of praise for India. A raped, robbed and sad Sangakkara's fade smile which was overshadowed by US and OUR cup somehow did not make me feel good but...
all said and done... we WON!
the hours of moving not even an inch, the swearing, the giving names, the sky high bp, the tension, the stimulation, the prediction, the preparation, the expectation... everything that has been common to every Indian on the 2nd of April 2011 sums up to this... we got THE cup.
Party!
