The date was 15th of February 2008
The first day of our Madhyamik exam.
I still remember Maa, who was extra early, extra punctual, extra casual (fake try) on that day, even took a month long leave from work, before my exam. I got princess treatment throughout!
The first paper was Bangla 1
Satabdi and I came out first from Gokhale, our examination center.
We laughed out loud when we saw anxious and worried and surprised= weird look on Maa's and Aunty's face, as if we have miraculously survived something which we were not supposed to.
Random Auntys and Uncles hovered with 'kemon holo' and 'kemon holo'. We decided to carefully avoid the news people who were pouncing upon any bakra out from the first day of Madhyamik.
Few years down the line I will probably wait with outside one such school with mazaa and the same funny face.
While coming home the rj was talking to some student's Mommy whose Madhyamik started today. She was literally freaking out. I looked at Maa and smiled.
How I wish I had those 3 extra marks which I did not get
*sigh*
And All the best everyone :)

The first boshonto shower :)
The first brishti of the year is here.
I have always believed that it WILL rain whenever you are much too happy or much too sad
Happy brishti everyone
Go get drenched
Let the rain take you in
Let the rain do the rest
Let it RAIN
Today, yet again

Of making parents proud
She studied for almost 14 hours the day before exam, had serious temper tantrums, faced very many disappointments and finally topped!
Debjani Chakraborty, my Debjani made Aunty (her momma that is) cry with joy today... Her narration of how happy she is and how proud she has made her parents (probably for the first time EVER) made me numb!
I still remember how in-spite of scoring 88% in Madhyamik, having an engineer dada from JU, she took up Humanities ( a rare thing in our mad rat race), how I always thought she had more courage than I did.
Gone are the nursery days of " Yay ami bhalo marks peyechhi"
With a WBJEE rank of 42369
And with PAILAN
How I wish I could someday make Maa proud
TOO
My usual dramas apart
'Jaani' I am very very proud of you
And am very happy too
Here is the blog
:*
God Bless

Ami School Jabo
Kutu had an amazing trip
And I suddenly am jealous
It just feels like yesterday when I had similar exited sleepless nights, early mornings and amazing picnic wala days
The yellow turned green walls where I once entered in a blue and white apron and finally left draped in a saari, today stands just the way it always did, at its prettiest best!
Those yellow bricks had me and I have always been head over heels in love with those green walls
For the woman I was, I almost am and shall be, for the friends and the memories and THE picnics
I love you.
Forever grateful

Beyond that wall you see,
My world resides.
They know my language there,
The bridge, the station, the dock, the river side.
They wait till I reach home,
I watch as her wet hair dries,
Where silly and sexy smiles are gifted,
And happy tears we cry.
Behind this wall you see,
I reside.
Where the clock strikes 11
And the cold food arrives.
The busy town runs ahead,
The lone smoke fills in the sky,
The dark room takes me in
And I cry I cry I cry.
